Rules

The Shackmaps forums are a place for players to discuss the games they love while keeping the conversation positive. This is not a place to complain about the games we’ve mapped or get into heated debates. The quietest person in the room should feel the same comfort posting here as the loudest, and our community guidelines reflect that.

• Be positive to create a safe space for community members, moderators, and staff.

• No racism, homophobia, transphobia, sexism, or discrimination.

• No harassment or cyberstalking on the forums or other platforms.

• No posting identifying information (name, address, email, phone number)

• No threats of harm or violence, even as a joke.

• No politics or religion or topics that frequently incite heated debates.

• No attacks or insults towards any member of the community, moderation team, or staff.

• No spam or self-promotion.

• No linking or discussing pirated content.

• No ban evasion.

• Moderation decisions are final and are not up for discussion.

The Shackmaps moderation team does not tolerate people trying to wiggle through the gaps of our guidelines. If we feel someone is trying to tightrope our guidelines or see how close they can get to the line, they will be banned without hesitation. No appeals or second chances will be given. 

These guidelines may change at any time to better reflect the values of Shackmaps or the evolving online world we live in.
